- RC: continuous updates to FIEStool to account for version changes in libraries (PyRAF, PyFITS, etc.).

ToDo:

- RC: further automate FIEStool such that it will be started automatically when starting the FIES software. This to ensure that all FIES data will be reduced. Make enhanced online spectrum-plotting facility.

- RC: add reduced data to the user-copy raw-data DVDs.

- With Eric Stempels upgrade FIEStool when the new FIES CCD is installed. Eric might agree to be coming out to La Palma, if invited, and if it fits his schedule.

A ``virtual-machine'' distribution of FIESTool was released. This version of FIESTool can be installed on any operating system that supports the Virtual Machine. The FIESTool version should run out of the box. This tool is meant to remove the (non-trivial) installation and setup steps. After ironing out a few rough edges and testing it with regular observers, the virtual machine is now public and offered on our web site.
