Some redesigning and rewiring was needed, which was further delayed by some new parts that were ordered taking very long to arrive. After testing in the workshop, the system was recently connected and the telescope was driven (for safety reasons only) in azimuth using the new system under full TCS control.
Some minor tidying up of the wiring is required and both azimuth and altitude motions tested together. All this is expected to be done in the near future. If everything goes well then drive can be installed and the old one removed. Mechanically and electrically this should be a straight swap.
