An analysis of the temperature from the FIES building has shown that during the hottest days the temperature inside the building is actually affected. Some test ventilation system was installed in the front room, but a larger fan will be needed before next summer. However, for days with `calima' (Sahara dust) we might not want to use this ventilation and should consider an air-conditioning system for the front room. For a more accurate temperature control we need a better sensor system.
The stability of the spectrograph (as a function of temperature) is measured from shifts of the Echellogram. This system will be automated and a data base will be set-up to record and analyze the results.
