Instrument

The camera front lens, CCD window and cross-disperser prism were coated. A new multi-fiber unit was ordered and tested, but G. Avila (ESO) characterized some parts as ``not good''.

A new calibration unit was designed by Bo Lindberg and made by Aarhus. The unit, consisting of a ThAr and halogen lamp and that also has a fiber selection slide, was mounted on the telescope adapter and is being tested.

The FIES web-pages were updated and FIES was added to the list of available instruments. See
