As a consequence of the failure of one of the alt/az power amplifiers we now have no spare, and these amplifiers are obsolete. A search has begun for an alternative replacement and two or three products have been identified.
Since the failure of the alt/az amplifiers the rotator amplifier has been damaged due to water getting into the electronics racks after heavy wind and rain. We are also investigating if it is possible to obtain a replacement for this device from the same manufacturer.
In both of the above cases we may be able to repair the amplifiers in-house, but for the long term commercial replacements would be preferable.
A spare telescope alt/az pre-amplifier printed circuit board was designed.
