Tests with the new rotary valve were made which showed that the flexible tubes and their connection to the valve did not work as intended, only allowing a limited amount of rotation of the telescope insufficient for normal operations. A new design was made for the connection of the tubes to the valve, which is being implemented at this moment.
Work on the cooling system itself was heavily affected by the bad weather. At the moment most of the preparations have been made to allow to switch over from the old to the new system without interruption, but a significant amount of work remains to finish the new system.
