Various software and computer developments are planned. Below I list the most relevant things.

• Data storage system: If the problems with the instrument computers are solved the new RAID disk and the gigabit switch can be installed.

• The Sequencer: Development will continue of the Sequencer with the commissioning of the system for StanCam + FIES. The next step would be to incorporate ALFOSC in the system.

• Data archiving: With the failure of the CD carousel and the preference expressed by observers to not get DAT tapes (often preferring DVDs) we have decided to switch our archiving system completely to DVDs. For this we will have to define the specific way the data (from the different instruments and different nights) will be stored.

• Mail server: The Mail server will be moved to ORM to provide faster access, and guarantee access by observers.

• Network access: It is expected that the new microwave link between the observatory and the office will become available.

• User account backup system: A proper backup system for the staff user accounts should be defined and implemented.
