The overall calibration plan will be reviewed and started. One of the main tasks will be to develop software tools to reduce and analyze the data. Defining these tasks and starting their development will be the main objective for the coming semester.
We are currently planning together with John Fynbo of CUO to hire a research assistant to develop `pipeline' reduction software for the optical imaging instruments (ALFOSC, MOSCA and StanCam). A draft document with the user requirements has been made. A significant part of the software already exists, and the package is expected to be ready within a year. Further development in this collaboration would be to include the reduction of NOTCam imaging data and ALFOSC spectroscopic data.
