The existing web server has been replaced and was installed at the observatory. A mirror server has been set up in the sea-level office, which serves as backup and development server. One of the advantages of this system is that the web server will always be available even when the link from the mountain is broken, which is especially important when working at the telescope.
The web-pages themselves have undergone a complete redesign, improving structure, navigation and readability. Redundant and out-of-date pages have been removed. Many existing web services have been rewritten to improve functionality. This includes for instance the weather station and signal-to-noise calculator. The further updating of the pages is a continuous process, but it is expected that most improvements to the pages will be made in the near future.
