ALFOSC Arc Lamps and Maps for CCD#14
Mounted lamps
For more than a decade we have the following lamps installed in
ALFOSC: Halogen, Helium, Neon, Thorium-Argon
(faint).
See
this page for typical exposure times for
the different grisms.
Note that Helium and Neon can be switched-on at the same time, as in
fact any other combination of installed lamps.
Spectral lamps from Osram: Ne, He
Hollow cathode lamps from Cathodeon/Heraeus: Th-Ar
Other lamps
Check here for info on other arc lamps used or
tested with the old CCD#7 or CCD#8.
Line lists
The line lists used for these maps are based on IRAF line lists,
updated with identifications by Moore (1959) and Coluzzi's (1993).
The ThAr list was checked against obvious blends using
FIES(NOT)/MUSICOS(ING)/UES(ING) arc maps.

Neon
Thorium Argon

Arc maps for wavelength calibration
Notes:
Wavelength ranges marked '!' are for CCD#8, the CCD#14 range is about 10% wider
If there is no map in the table above yet, try a CCD#7/CCD#8 map
